Above, the sky pretende, como una herida, mostrar mediante metáforas visuales la sociedad en la que vivimos. Trata de plasmar la estratificación de clases sociales, en donde inevitablemente, y como si de una cadena alimentaria se tratara, siempre hay devorados y devoradores, oprimidos y opresores.

 

Como hilo conductor de la serie, el cielo. El cielo como símbolo de libertad que siempre nos cubre y a la vez que nos encarcela. Es el lugar donde dicen que vamos al morir y donde se cree que existe un dios. Donde vuelan los que están más alto, ignorantes de que al fin y al cabo todos somos oprimidos y opresores de nosotros mismos.

 

 

Above, the sky, depicts the society in which we live through visual metaphors. As a bleeding wounds, it crudely shows the stratification of social classes, where unavoidably and as if it was a food chain, there are always devoured ones and predators, oppressed ones and oppressors.

The sky, as a thread of the project, as a symbol of freedom, as a way of giving us shelter and at the same time imprisoning us. It is said to be the place where we go when dying and where it is believed that some god lives; where the high flying ones are unaware that all of us are oppressed by ourselves and thus, we are our own oppressors.
